Mayor: Change LNG policy
Though he was denied the opportunity to testify in person at a Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee hearing last month, Mayor Edward M. Lambert Jr. made sure his voice was heard when he submitted written suggestions for improving the country's liquefied natural gas policy.

Mayor: LNG security not enough
Mayor Edward M. Lambert Jr. denounced the Coast Guard's recently completed security plan for the proposed Hess LNG facility Monday, which apparently does not include the city's suggested proactive evacuation strategy.

City bolsters its LNG arsenal
Hess LNG has long had the assistance of a Washington, D.C.-based law firm in its battle to build a liquefied natural gas facility in the city.

Lambert makes anti-LNG case to national press
Should the federal agency responsible for the siting of liquefied natural gas import terminals approve such a facility in Fall River, Mayor Edward M. Lambert Jr. warned a group of national media representatives Thursday, there is no reason it won't happen in other areas around the country where they also don’t belong.

Lambert says LNG proposal changes rules
The Fall River mayor says approval of the plan would reverse long-standing policy to site facilities away from residential areas.
